| #5948 | 02:10 AM | nitro not working ⚠ NOT FINISHED Informed that line has been down for 12 hours upon arrival, later informed that it had actually been closer to 18 hours per Luke. Handoff given stated that we weren’t getting nitrogen out of the hose. Given directive with photo to loosen lock nut on top valve. Decided to inspect machine for ourselves first because we didn’t have much to go off of. Discovered that the doser was also not working properly. Pulled dozer off and took it to the shop to inspect and possibly thaw; discovered that the red vacuum pump seal was completely gone. Replaced doser setup per George. Tested and at this point we were getting gas going through the doser and not liquid. Tested theory by removing nitro hose and purging gas out of the hose. Did this for a while to ensure that we were getting liquid from the doser and verified that was working. Moved the lock nut again on the valve and it still didn’t do anything, pretty sure we’re actually intended to move the valve to the new locknut position but it’s a struggle to move and feels kinda weird under pressure (there’s no shutoff on line 3) Spoke with Luke and informed him that we attempted to move the valve under pressure but it felt weird. He did not feel comfortable with us proceeding any further. The final test we did was removing the doser head and purging through there but instead of liquid nitrogen we got a gas cloud. What we believe is happening after going over everything is that the valve needs to be set to the prescribed position. The gas is all that going through and that’s what blew out the seal on the old doser. Currently the doser head is removed, the lock nut was put back where it originally was when we came in, and the system is off until next steps are decided. found documents for it….. there in German so not helpful at all considering we don’t speak German.
